Sol the Xolo | Day of the Dead Edition

Handmade Xoloitzcuintle, Día de Muertos Inspired

A$64.99

Bright, warm and always looking up, Sol has an eye that shines like a little sun, with a red centre ringed in golden yellow and violet. A green flower sits on its nose, with pink swirls and red dots across its face, and both upright ears carry a deep burgundy bloom framed in bright green. An orange flower blooms on its neck, and a rainbow of stitches runs down its back between hand-stitched white bones.

The Legend of the Xolo
In Mexica tradition, the Xoloitzcuintle guided souls through Mictlán, the underworld, carrying them across its great river to their final rest. Today it remains a symbol of loyalty and protection, and a beloved part of Día de Muertos.
