Nopal the Xolo | Day of the Dead Edition

Handmade Xoloitzcuintle, Día de Muertos Inspired

A$64.99

Tough, bright and proudly Mexican, just like the cactus it’s named after. Nopal has neon green flowers blooming on its nose and a deep purple eye ringed in teal and coral. Purple swirls and golden dots cover its face, and both upright ears burst with bright orange blooms around a purple centre, with golden buds below. A purple flower sits on its neck, and soft pink swirls and orange and magenta blooms run down its chest between hand-stitched white bones.

The Legend of the Xolo
In Mexica tradition, the Xoloitzcuintle guided souls through Mictlán, the underworld, carrying them across its great river to their final rest. Today it remains a symbol of loyalty and protection, and a beloved part of Día de Muertos.
