Corazon the Xolo | Day of the Dead Edition

Handmade Xoloitzcuintle, Día de Muertos Inspired

A$64.99

Corazón carries a red heart in each eye, and no two sides are the same. One eye is ringed in orange and lavender, with pink and magenta flowers and teal leaves around it. The other is framed in deep blue and coral, with turquoise swirls and a golden flower. Both upright ears carry a purple bloom with an orange centre, surrounded by red and pink flowers. A magenta flower sits on the neck, and green, purple and pink stitches run down the chest between hand-stitched white bones. Made with love, for remembering the ones we love.

The Legend of the Xolo
In Mexica tradition, the Xoloitzcuintle guided souls through Mictlán, the underworld, carrying them across its great river to their final rest. Today it remains a symbol of loyalty and protection, and a beloved part of Día de Muertos.
