Named after the sacred incense that fills the air around every ofrenda. Copal has a red eye ringed in deep purple and an ear featuring a turquoise bloom wrapped in hot pink, surrounded by orange and purple flowers with bright green leaves. Blue swirls and teal dots decorate its face, and a rainbow of colour runs all the way to the tip of its tail.
About Día de Muertos
On 1 and 2 November, Mexican families welcome back the spirits of loved ones who have passed. Ofrendas fill with photos, candles, favourite foods and cempasúchil flowers, turning remembrance into a celebration of life.
