Named after Mexico’s famous alebrijes, the colourful fantasy creatures painted in every shade imaginable. Alebrije has a hot pink eye framed in purple, a cheeky toothy grin and an ear featuring a deep purple bloom wrapped in bright pink, surrounded by blue and yellow flowers with turquoise leaves. Pink roses and golden swirls decorate its face, with a burst of colour stitched all the way down its tail.
About Día de Muertos
On 1 and 2 November, Mexican families welcome back the spirits of loved ones who have passed. Ofrendas fill with photos, candles, favourite foods and cempasúchil flowers, turning remembrance into a celebration of life.
